UMW Holdings expects less Toyota sales for 2016

UMW Holdings Bhd is anticipating about 80,000 units of Toyota models to be sold this year, a 14.7% drop from the 93,760 unit it sold.

Chairman Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin stated that he expects Toyota to keep its deal with stiff competitors this year.

“We expect to sell about 80,000 devices of Toyota designs this year having considered the economic scenario,” he informed the media after the company’s AGM.

In last year, its 51% unit UMW Toyota had sold 95,861 units of Toyota and Lexus models together.
