Update: Enigmatical Sport Lexus LS Caught Testing at Nürburgring Racetrack, is it the LS-F? [Spy Shots]

by Ionut Dragomir

Lexus revealed the prices for 2012 models, while the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show was the starting place for its GS 450h. The brand also released its CT200h F-Sport, but it seems that all these aren’t enough because the latest spy shots reveals a new model caught doing the rounds on the Nürburgring racetrack in Germany.

This mystery Lexus LS prototype featured the usual testing equipment seen on other prototypes on the ‘Ring, according to the spy photographers who were albe to take some shots.

As you can see from these photos, the prototype sported widened front and rear bumpers, aside from the blistered front and rear wheel arches. In addition to that comes a different front grille, boot incorporating a spoiler and a carbon fiber roof. However, that’s not all because this weird vehicle was also fitted with massive brake discs, hood air vents and black alloy wheels with a silver rim.

So, what is it? It’s hard even for us to draw a clear conclusion because it could be anything from a limited production or conceptual LS-F sporting the LFA’s V10 to a SEMA project car. It can also be a wild tuning job in the works.

Update: The spy photographers who managed to take these shots claims that its driving with Toyota Cologne plates and was stationed at the Toyota/Lexus garage at the Nürburgring so its not an aftermarket tuner.
