US-spec 2015 Volkswagen Golf to Debut, in New York

After debuting recently in the Geneva Motor Show 2013, the seventh generation 2015 Volkswagen Golf is expected to debut in North America at the upcoming New York Auto Show later in this month.

The 2013 European Car of the Year’s US-spec version will be launched at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in three versions, the turbocharged TSI, the diesel TDI and the performant GTI.

The first Volkswagen Golfs which will use the new MQB platform will also offer features relating to safety, infotainment options and engines. Each of the variant in US will have different engines. TSI version will get 1.8 liter turbocharged engine, TDI will get 2.0 liter diesel engine and GTI will get 2.0 liter turbocharged engine, all with four-cylinder configuration.

As per the company, the 2015 Volkswagen Golf cars are expected to go on sale in the first half of 2014 and the production will be done in Puebla, Mexico, factory of the company.
