The AMG variant of the timeless G-Class of Mercedes-Benz has something that makes tuners go crazy. Mercedes tuning specialist, Vaht, get their hands dirty to trick out the G55 AMG.
The stock form of the G-Class is by no means a non-performer. It is packed with a monstrous V8 supercharged 5.5L engine that outputs 500 horsepower and gives out about 516 pound feet of torque. Things even get better when Vath pimps this ride and the figures jumping to 680 horsepower and 590 pound feet of torque. It also allowed the G55 AMG to touch a top speed of 265 km/hr.
The German tuning firm also toyed with the suspension and installed a new set of shock absorbers. They also lowered the ride by about 35 millimeters.
With all the speed and the power, Vaht makes sure you are in control by installing a sport brake system with 390 mm discs hugging to stop te 22 inch alloy rims.
The exterior is refreshed by adding hood scoop, larger air intakes on the front bumper, new set of headlamps, exhaust pipes, and roof spoiler.
The interiors are upgraded with learther, carbon fiber and alcantara applications all over. Vaht also installed a sportier steering wheel and improved the instrument panels.
