Volkswagen has made public the practical details and pricing information for the Golf VI R Cabriolet. It costs 38,770 GBP in the UK & 43,325 EUR in Germany.
With orders set to begin this year, the last batch of the sixth-gen Golf will get its power from a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine connected to a 6-speed DSG emitting 265 HP (195 kW) which results in a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 6.4 seconds at an imaginably top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
It comes fitted with 18- or 19-inch alloys and has a 25mm lowered suspension compared to the regular Golf VI Cabrio. The R version has also been fitted with bi-xenon headlights, LED DRLs, side sill attachments, chrome-tipped exhausts, attractive black rear diffuser and door mirror housings.
On the interior side, it has four individual compact seats and multi-function steering wheel covered in leather and aluminum pedals. The fully electric shielded top gets lowered in 9.5 seconds and can be put back in 11 seconds.
