Well known tuner Alpha-N Performance has come up with an upgrade package for the sixth-gen Volkswagen Golf R.
The tuner had teamed up with Öhlins for a custom Road & Track chassis which was matched with lightweight OZ Racing Ultraleggera HLT alloy wheels featuring a race gold finish and well covered around in 235/30 R20 tires. Other changes included as part of the package include a stainless steel exhaust system, sports air filter system and an EVOX chip tuning box.
Thanks to these modifications, the Volkswagen Golf VI R which comes equipped with 2.0-liter turbo charged engine is now able to generate an output of 330 HP (243 kW), which is significant 60 HP (44 kW) hike when compared to the standard model.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a DSG transmission and this should enable the car to be quicker when compared to the stock model to complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) run. Exactly how much time it would take is not known yet but the stock model is able to achieve this task in 5.5 seconds.
The tuner has done a decent job but we will have to wait for more details to be out about this package so that we come to know the added performance status as well.
