Volkswagen has recently introduced the new Jetta GLI Edition 30.
Designed to celebrate the presence of model’s 30 years in the United States, the GLI Edition 30 comes equipped with a trunk-mounted spoiler, special badging and 18-inch Laguna-style alloy wheels. The model also has red accents and will be available exclusively in Deep Black Metallic, Pure White, Tornado Red and Reflex Silver Metallic exterior paints.
In the interiors, the cabin boasts of features such as V-Tex leatherette seats, red accents, red contrast stitching, faux carbon fiber trim, special floor mats and “Edition 30” sill plates. Other highlights include a leather-wrapped steering wheel and an infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and SiriusXM satellite radio. Moving up to the GLI Edition 30 with Navigation adds Bi-Xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, a rearview camera and GPS navigation.
Like the standard model, the special edition will also come with a 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder engine that would generate 210 hp (156 kW) and 207 lb-ft (280 Nm) of torque. It can be further mated to a six-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Jetta GLI Edition 30 will go on sale early next year in 2014 and the pricing will be announced closer to launch.
