Volkswagen Passat Alltrack – Photos and Info

The Passat Alltrack is a vehicle for drivers who don’t want an SUV but need an all-wheel drive. Among such vehicles are the Volvo XC70 and the Audi A4 Allroad aswell.

The engine is a 2.0-liter TDI that delivers either 168 or 138 horsepower. While the more powerful engine gets to 60 a whole two seconds faster (8.9 seconds), the driver won’t be disappointed by the lesser one either.

Like I said, the Passat Alltrack gets an all-wheel drive that is capable of sending up to 90 percent of the power to the front wheels, and up to 100 percent to the rear wheels when needed. The transmission is a six-speed manual.

While having a 4-wheel drive has many advantages, it also brings some downsides, among which there are the medium-low fuel consumption (49.6 mpg) and similar CO2 emissions (150g/km).

The technologies that come fitted on the Alltrack are the climate control, cruise control and sat-nav. This Passat also gets 18-inch wheels, Alcantra upholstery and more.

The inside remains mainly unmodified, the only changes brought to it being the improved isolation, 4MOTION badges and the Alltrack label on the center console.

Although the Volkswagen Passat Alltrack is a good vehicle for its class, it does have a high start price: $45,000. Meanwhile, other cars, like the Nissan Qashqai gets the same job done for less money.
