Volkswagen Touareg and Tiguan unveiled at 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit

Volkswagen unveiled the Touareg and it’s lesser counterpart Tiguan at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. The vehicles are part of Volkswagen’s sportsline.

Looks wise, the Tiguan R-Line has a 19 inch alloy extensions from beneath the fender, bi-Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lamps along with matching side skirts and a liftgate spoiler. The interiors have a sporty look with aluminium trimmings and flat bottom
steering wheel with paddle shifters.The Tiguan R-Line will be available in front- or all-wheel drive configuration. An interesting feature to be mentioned about the Tiguan is the inclusion of a Fender Premium Audio System which will feature a 10 channel, 400 watt amplifier with 8 speakers and a rear sub woofer.

The Touareg R-Line is a more upmarket version but receives similar set of upgrades including 20-inch alloys from beneath the fender, dual oval-shaped exhausts, LED taillamps and special badging. Also, the vehicle is available with 4Motion all-wheel drive petrol or diesel version.

Prices have not yet been revealed but the vehicles will be available sometime in the third quarter of 2013.
