Just a bit earlier, a number of photos depicting the Volkswagen Sharan showed up on the World Wide Web. Now, the German automotive marquee has decided to officially introduce the vehicle model in question to the world. Well, behold the 2015 VW Sharan facelift! So, what can the car possibly offer?
Well, quite unfortunately, in terms of visual styling, there really is not too much to boast. The thing is, this Sharan facelift from Volkswagen looks pretty much the same as its outgoing model. There are just a couple of exceptions, which are, Jakarat alloy wheels, LED taillights and also several new color choices. Speaking of the latter, buyers of the vehicle can now choose between Hudson Bay Blue Metallic and Crimson Red Metallic paint jobs.
Stepping into the cabin of the vehicle, buyers of the vehicle will find Google Android Auto and Apple Car Play support, to begin with. Then, there are also faster processors and support for the MirrorLink technology. Customers can also choose to have either a 6.5-inch Discovery Media (which is the most expensive option here), 6.5-inch Composition Media or a 5-inch Composition Color infotainment system.
Under the hood, the car comes with a number of engine options, all of which comply with the Euro 6 emission standard. For customers that prefer a petrol to a diesel engine, they can choose either a 1.4L TSI engine with 150 hp of power or a 2.0L TSI engine with 220 hp of power. Yet, in terms of diesel engine, there is the 1.6L TDI engine with 115 hp of power and a 2.0L TDI engine with a power output ranging from 150-184 hp. The car features a 6-speed manual transmission as a standard and a 6-speed DSG transmission as an option.
The 2015 Volkswagen Sharan will make its official world debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Sales will commence April this year and the car will ship to dealerships no later than summer this year.
