Volvo is expanding its model range with the introduction of two new models. One of them is the S80 Executive sedan – a top of the line model while the V70R-Design Station wagon is characterized by its sportier looks.
The C-pillar badge that the top end sedan model carries is a clear indication of the car having within its perimeter some enhanced features. There is the leather wrapped instrument panel, ventilated soft leather seats with massage function, leather covered door panels, an aluminum center console storage compartment and an analogue clock on the dashboard to name a few of these premium features. There is also an optional fridge in the rear seat and is accompanied by set of Swedish crystal glasses. There is also the extra thick carpet that adorns the interior.
There was the ‘R-Design’ trim line on the C30, S40/V50, S60/V60 and XC60 series. Now Volvo is offering the same package on the V70 model as well. This treatment would apply a sportier look to the V70 and it would give the car a more unique exterior and interior touches. Some of these enhancements are metal covers of the door mirrors, which also feature built-in LED turning indicators, and the 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
There are also the interior enhancements that include black leather upholstery, leather covered gear knob and black floor mats with contrasting stitching. Even the 1.6 liter DRIVe diesel car which has CO2 emissions of 119 g/km can also be tuned with this R-Design package.
The Volvo Sensus infotainment system would also be found as standard fit on both the S80 Executive and the V70 R-Design. This system comes with a five-inch or a seven-inch color display, combined with a navigation system.
