AB Volvo is a Swedish manufacturer of trucks, buses and construction equipment, and a former manufacturer of cars. Volvo also supplies marine and industrial drive systems, aerospace components and financial services, It is said that this company was officially founded on 14 April 1927, when the first car, the Volvo OV 4 series, affectionately known as “Jakob”, rolled out of the factory in Hisingen, Gothenburg.
And today at we are talking about the earlier discussed vehicle from Volvo, The Volvo V40 Cross Country and V40 R Design, which has been revealed at the Paris Motor Show.
It should be noted that the Swedish based automakers says that V40 Cross Country appears to be the Second body style of the compact vehicle and the exteriors reminiscent XC70.
The difference between a regular V40 and V40 Cross Country is that the latter has a differently designed front grille, side skirts appears to have changed, also the front and rear bumper looks different, there is an increase of 40mm ride height, as well as the body colored rims and some other tweaks.
The Volvo V40 Cross Country comes with an interior which looks almost similar to the one used by the regular V40 and now the Cross Country Model offers new inserts on the center console.
The V40 Cross Country received the engines from the V40 hatchback, except for the 1.6 liter T3 unit with 150 HP. All-wheel drive will be offered on the top of the line 254 HP T5 equipped versions, as per what the company has announced.
