The Tata Nano compact car from India has always been very well known for its affordable price tag as a car. However, with such an affordable price tag, there are certain limitations that customers will have to live with if they ever want to purchase the aforementioned compact car. Customers can’t expect to speed using this particular car because the power of the engine is really not too huge. Yet, that may be about to change, thanks to the JA Motorsport. Believe it or not, this particular tuning house has decided to upscale the power of the car’s engine and guess what, the tuning house has succeeded in doing so. The car can now output 230 hp and it can finally reach a top speed of 190 km/h. Also, it is no longer known as the Tata Nano but the Tata Super Nano instead.
Well, this idea is actually against the nature of the car. The Tata Nano, however, was originally developed in order to become the most affordable car the world has ever seen. This will help more people afford a car for their daily commute. Nevertheless, this does not seem to bother JA Motorsport at all, let alone stopping them from tuning up the original Tata Nano.
In order to bring the Tata Super Nano to life, the staffs at the JA Motorsport have taken the liberty of disposing of the 2-cylinder engine originally installed by the factory. This engine has only 38 hp. The staffs put a 1.4L 4-cylinder engine instead into the engine compartment, enabling the car to deliver 230 hp in total. And, whereas the stock Tata Nano can only go as fast as 105 km/h, the Tata Super Nano is capable of going beyond the 190 km/h speed mark.
Besides the engine, other stuffs have also changed. The Tata Super Nano sports smoked headlights and taillights, racing slicks, roll cage, racing brakes and even a full-size body kit. Well, it seems that only its rear-wheel-drive (RWD) drivetrain is left intact.
