A motorcyclist died in a crash with a car in Dorset.
The occurrence in Ferndown involved a white Renault Clio and a white Kawasaki bike at 14:35 GMT on Saturday on Victoria Road.
The 67-year-old Wimborne male was treated by officers and paramedics. An air ambulance was likewise contacted but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 23-year-old Ferndown female who was driving the automobile was uninjured. The location near the Westwood Avenue junction was closed while investigators took a look at the situation and recovered the vehicles.
Sgt Joe Pardey, of Dorset Police’s traffic system, stated: “Regardless of the best efforts of paramedics and officers the motorcyclist was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
“I am appealing for any witnesses who saw the accident or the way of driving of either vehicle prior to the incident to get in touch with authorities.”
In an unrelated incident, cops are also appealing for witnesses to an accident in Bournemouth where a 23-year-old Salisbury woman was fatally hurt when her black Renault Clio struck a wall.
It occurred at Alum Chine parking lot on Alumhurst Roadway at around 01:00 GMT on Sunday.
She was taken to hospital where she later passed away.
In both cases the next of kin were informed and the coroner notified.
