Two of the popular Dodge automobiles are ready to show their new face in this year’s auto show at New York. Dodge has kept the details and the new looks of these cars a secret so far, releasing only a couple of teaser images. According to a press release, Charger will be unveiled with a completely new look with all body panels being rebuilt to give it a sleek and modern look. From the teaser that was released a few days back, it can be seen that the front fascia of the vehicle will indeed be refreshing and aggressive. The automaker has retained the signature cross hair grille, but the overall front façade looks much more modern. The Dodge Charger flaunts new headlights with daytime LED lights adding to the luxury.
The changes to the Charger are not only limited to the body panels but also to the mechanics. A new power train is expected in the sedan version. In addition to tweaks on the 5.7 liter and 6.4 liter Hemi V8s, a new powerful Hellcat V8 engine is expected to power up the Charger. The output expected from this engine will set the automobile enthusiasts abuzz as an amazing 640 hp is believed to be the rating from the Hellcat V8. All the power will be transmitted to the wheels through an eight speed automatic transmission system.
Dodge Challenger will also get new looks with many exterior and interior changes. The 2015 model which will be showcased in the New York Auto show will feature new looks from the inside out according to the company sources. Only a teaser image of the dashboard was revealed. This image shows a scat pack logo on the dashboard. The new engine specs that are believed to power the 2015 model will be coupled with the eight speed automatic.
