Zenos E10 S unveiled with new features

by SpeedLux

Zenos Cars unveiled the E10 S which provides more power compared to the original E10.
Founded by former Caterham boss Ansar Ali, Zenos Cars is preparing an evolution of the E10 which endures to avail from road-legal condition. The E10 S is accompanied by a mid-sized turbo four-cylinder 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine providing 250 bhp (186 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) at 2,500 rpm making it 50 bhp (37 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) stronger than the standard E10.

Although E10 needs 4.5 seconds to finish the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run, the attractive S derivative will do that in just 4 seconds on its way to highest speed of 135 mph (217 km/h). Credit goes to carbon aluminum monocoque which kept the curb weight down to 700 kg (1,543 lbs).

The Zenos E10 S is based on a 16-inch front and 17-inch OZ alloy wheels formed around in Avon tires, with stopping force provided by 285mm front and rear disc brakes. It is backed from a double wishbone individual front/rear suspension with the Bilstein dampers and they got removable front and rear wings including a steel roll over and side-impact shield system.

Pricing begins from 29,995 GBP, making it 5,000 GBP more costlier than the E10. Opt for the track variant and about 32,995 GBP would have to be paid for a limited slip differential, in-house developed composite seats, six-speed gearbox (standard five-speed), quick-release steering wheel, four-point racing harness, controllable dampers and heated driver’s seat.

In 2016, Zenos Cars will extend its lineup with the E11 Roadster, it will be followed by E12 Coupe in 2018.
