Pikes Peak International Hillclimb 2013: All-Electric Latvian DriveEO PP01 to Contest

With the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb 2013 coming closer and nearer, more and more participants are being showcased and teased and the latest prospective entrant is DriveEO and it comes from Latvia, a small European country.

DriveEO is best known for creating their unique hybrid SUV with range extender which has competed in the past in famous rallies such as the Paris-to-Dakar rally which is considered the world’s toughest race. This means that the firm surely has the skills to build a true competitor and if that was not enough, they have stated that their debut Pikes Peak International Hillclimb will feature an all-electric vehicle.

Built around a tubular spaceframe with a fiber body made of carbon, DriveEO’s PP01 racer tips the scales at just 950 kg and manages to generate an awesome power of 536 hp. However no other details of the racer car has been made available as of now but by looks it appears to be quite stylish and very promising.

The testing of the car should begin on June 8th just before the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb 2013 which will start from June 30.
