10 Most expensive cars in the world

by Sebastian Bivin

There are just cars not built for everyone. We list below vehicles that define luxury, performance, and a fat bank account. All of these cars are still in production and all of them are street legal. You may be looking for some other names but nevertheless, these are the most expensive cars in the automotive world today.

Maybach 62 Zeppelin ($506, 500)

The Maybach 62 Zeppelin has a powerful twin turbocharged 6.2L V12 sourced from AMG. The powerplant boasts of 631 bhp and can bring the car from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a matter of 5.1 seconds. Top speed is pegged at 155 mph. This Zeppelin has only a very limited run of 100 cars.

The Maybach 62 Zeppelin is plusher and longer than the Maybach 57. Its comforts and performance are better appreciated when you have a chauffer. The insides are elegantly lined with leather and wood, with lambskin carpets on the floor.
Things like he center console, champagne flutes, and the screen partition are all marked by MAYBACH ZEPPELIN. The key ring and the door sill panels are elegantly engraved with ZEPPELIN. Inside, there is also a console made of plexiglass where the owner can put their favorite scent that will be pumped into the interior

SSC Ulitmate Aero ($740,000)

Add about $31,200 more to that sticker if you want the brakes on carbon ceramic. The Aero 2009 is considered to be the fastest car in the world today capable of 270 mph. Talk about 2.7 seconds from 0 to 60 and a monstrous 1,287 bhp from the SSC V8 twin turbocharged powerplant. Between 2007 and 2010, we will only be seeing 50 of these gorgeous creations.

Leblanc Mirabeau ($861,798)
The price of the Leblanc Mirabeau includes the semi-automatic option that costs $76,000. You can not ask for anything more from its V8 supercharged 4.7L engine as it can take you 230 mph with its 700 horsepower output.

Although very light, the car utilizes monocoques of carbon fiber to make it secured and very rigid. The other parts of the car’s body are made of magnesium and titanium. This Swiss head turner is street legal when most of its caliber will only be suited for the racetrack. Don’t think too much of an interior though.

Pagani Zonda F Coupe ($1,375,980)
The engine of the Pagani Zonda F Coupe is sourced from Mercedes Benz AMG. It is a V12 coupled with a dual clutch system that can show off the cars all mighty 602 horsepower. The top speed is said to be at 345 kilometers per hour while the 0 to 100 km/h blast only takes it 3.6 seconds.

Maybach Landaulet ($1,380,000)

Owners of the Maybach Landaulet can enjoy the sun by retracting the rear roof fully with a press of a button. All it takes is 16 seconds while keeping the chauffeur’s compartment totally enclosed. The backseats are built for luxury with reclining feature, leg rest, and footrest. There is of course the partition screen if you want some privacy. A Dunhill umbrella comes with the package.
Under the hood, you will get a V12 biturbo that runs on gasoline. This is coupled with an automatic gearbox with 5 speeds. The engine can give out 604 horsepower and bring it from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds or zoom it up to a top speed of 155 mph.

Pagani Zonda F Roadster ($1,448,000)
Only 25 of these mean machines will ever be built. The V12, 602 horsepower engine gets you from a halt to 60 miles in just 3.5 seconds. Leave everyone behind when you floor it at 214 mph and the light titanium and carbon fiber does it no sweat.
The Zonda F Roadster is car of cars in the Pagani stable. It serves as tribute to Juan Manuel Fangio who won the world championship five times.

Lamborghini Reventon ($1,454,400)
Looking at the price of the Lamborghini Reventon, anyone can safely assume that much can be expected of the car. This super car has an aluminum V12 powerplant under the hood that is capable of blasting from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.4 seconds. Top speed is pegged at 211 mph.

Looking at the design lines of the Reventon, you will notice its resemblance to a Tornado fighter plane of the Italian Air Force which is actually its inspiration. Almost every portion of the body is made of carbon fiber except for the roof and the door panels.

The Lamborghini Reventon rolled out back in 2007 and only 20 of these supercars will be built.

Pagani Zonda Cinque Coupe ($1,738,080)

If you are planning to get a Zonda Cinque Coupe, your chances are nil. The super car is sold out with only 5 units rolling out of the assembly line in 2009. The V12 under its hood takes the car from 0 to 60 in a matter of 3.3 seconds while top speed has been recorded at 217 mph. The 678 horsepower powerplant is a monster which can just make your eyes popped out of their sockets when you floor the gas pedal.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 ($1,738,080)

Under the bonnet is a 1,001 horsepower, 16 cylinder engine with 4 turbochargers. The Bugatti Veyron can blast from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.5 seconds. Stepping on the pedal some more will push you back the seat until you reach the top speed of 400 km/h. As much as it accelerates, the cars ceramic brakes can bring you to a full stop from 100 km/h in just 2.3 seconds.
Even though the car is very powerful, the designers came up with a solution so it can conserve some of its ooohmp factor. It can maintain a fast joy ride speed of 250 km/hr with only around 280 horsepower from its engine.

The Veyron panels and frame consists of the lightest materials in the planet. There is carbon fiber, magnesium, titanium, and aluminum all over. These also happen to be the most expensive materials to use on a dream car.

Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster ($1,882,920)

Now you are looking at the most expensive cars in the world. One of only five ever produced. The car’s V12 brings it from 0 to 60 in just 3.3 seconds. Top speed, 355 mph.
The car’s gearbox can be set in different drive modes and the suspensions system adjusted to make the ride experience great on the road or on the racetrack.

to morcea

no offense dude, but this list is so wrong. some of the cars are not even in production and you have missed tons of exotics that are today in production.

or if that is an all time list, then it is even worse.

Zonda range three times in the list????

I have seen just Pagani Zonda F Coupe ($1,375,980) last years list and now you are saying that Pagani Zonda have launched 3 more cars that are beating Porche, Ferrari – Enzo… Can you explain this with details… or can you give any source from where i can see these cars on website?
