2 dead, 1 injured after car crash in Brampton

Two people are dead and one was were injured after a car crash in Brampton, Canada on Saturday morning.

Officials were notified of the crash before 12:30 a.m.

A 2015 Freight Liner tractor-trailer was being driven by a 47-year-old Brampton man, and a 2014 Chrysler 300, was being driven by a 21-year-old Mississauga man.

A front-seat passenger of the Chrysler was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chrysler succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

One person was admitted to the hospital with critical injuries.

Officials say that the car with the three people may have run a red light and crashed into a tractor-trailer that was making a left turn.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
