Hennessey Performance Engineering has something special for Corvette fans who find the stock Corvette ZR1 with 638 horsepower does not satisfy their need for speed.
This Texas based tuner is introducing now 705 hp Z700 upgrade package for the 2010 ZR1.
Hennessey upgrades superchargers, exhaust and air induction systems, which is then dyno tuned to 705 bhp.
ZR1 is also put on a strict diet. Exterior upgrades include lightweight carbon fiber wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires, which reduces weight by nearly 60 lbs. Body enhancements include a new carbon fiber front splitter, canards and rear spoiler that add over 300 lbs of downforce, helping plant the added power to the road or track. Interior gets lightweight carbon fiber seats, Alcantara steering wheel and shift knob.
Plan is to build just 24 of these limited-edition Corvette ZR1’s. Cost including the new ZR1 is $207,150 US Dollars. That is almost double the price of a stock ZR1.
Each customer also gets a full day of performance driving instruction in his or her new Z700 at Hennessey’s own private test track.
Hennessey has big plans as they will be taking the Z700 to the famous Nürburgring in Germany later this year.
Z700 Performance numbers:
0 – 60 mph: 2.9 seconds
0 – 100 mph: 6.4 seconds
1/4 mile: 10.6 @ 134 mph
If 705 horsepower is not enough then there are two optional upgrades available: Z750 – 755 bhp Upgrade and Z1000 – 1,000 bhp Twin Turbo / Supercharged Upgrade.
