And the award for the Best Luxury Car goes to . . . , well its Mercedes-Benz S-Class. So its official now, that the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the best sedan that money can buy in the luxury segment. Also its the second time in a row that the S-Class has been crowned with the Best Luxury Car award.

The Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall played host to the glittering ceremony where the regional corporate sales manager for Mercedes-Benz UK, Adrian Freeman was handed over the award on the 18th of May. So what this award essentially means is that any carmaker out to offer a car in the luxury segment will have the Mercedes-Benz S-Class to contend with.

As for the S-Class, experts believe that a new range of highly efficient engines has contributed to the stupendous success of the luxury sedan. Take for instance the Mercedes-Benz S350 CDI BlueEfficiency that has a range topping fuel efficiency figures of 37.2 mpg while damage do

ne to the environment is limited to 199 g/km of CO2 emissions. In fact, the engine is already Euro 6 compliant in spite of the fact that the Euro 6 emission norms will not come into effect in the UK before 2014.
