Mercedes-Benz has released new teaser images of the upcoming SLS AMG Gullwing, which will very likely debut this fall at the Frankfurt Auto Show.
SLS AMG Gullwing features the same style roof-hinged doors as the classic 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL.
New teaser images don’t show much of the exterior, but we can get a very good look at the interior. Aviation inspired interior features carbon fiber and aluminum trim.
Front mid-engined 6.3-liter V8 produces 571 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm. Power is sent to rear wheels via seven speed dual clutch gearbox.
0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) is estimated to take 3.8 seconds with the help of Race Start launch control function. Top speed is electronically limited to 315 km/h (196 mph). Expected price tag is about 150,000 euros ($208,485 USD).
