The Paris Motor Show witnessed the unveiling of the 2011 159 model by Alfa Romeo. They also revealed the Giulietta which was presented in models having two different engines. The company had recently updated the saloon and sports wagon versions of the cars. They also had on show packages that come as options for customers to select. Their booth at the show also had the “Rosso Competizione” which is an exclusive model from the company.
The 159 model would have the new 2.0 JTDM engine which is Euro 5 compliant and delivers 136 hp. There would also be Euro 5 diesel compliant diesel engine fit 159. The company in a statement have indicated that the car would satisfy both the customers who love a car with speed and yet economic on fuel as also those who owned or operated fleet of cars as a business and therefore wanted low running cost while not compromising for comfort for driving down long distances.
A TI package makes the car appear sportier. There is the 18 inch alloy wheels designed like turbine. There is also the option of going for a 19 inch spoked version of the wheel. The car also has low sports ride and side skirts as well as over sized red brake calipers. For the interior make over the car has wraparound seats which are trimmed in black leather and Alcantara with red profiles, sports pedal unit in aluminum and a kick plate with the TI logo, sports-steering wheel in leather with radio controls, gear lever knob and handbrake lever trimmed in leather with red stitching, Blue&Me system and sports instruments. There is the option of going for carbon fiber inserts for the central console and steering wheel.
