Ford Mustang Mach 1 was first introduced in 1969 as a high-performance model of the legendary pony car. Production of the Mach 1 run until 1979 and was introduced again in 2003.
Last Mach 1 was offered for the 2005 model year.
There won’t be Mach 1 for the new 2010 model year, but who knows maybe Ford is bringing Mach 1 back for 2011.
If Ford brings the Mach 1 back, then according to a Mexican artist Edmundo Pano it would compete against the Dodge Challenger SRT8 and Chevrolet Camaro SS. His renderings show it with an orange paint and Mach 1 graphics package. Hood features shaker scoop and wheels are blacked out in Torq-Thrust style.
Under the hood would be the new 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine that packs 400 horsepower. Who knows maybe Edmundo and we all can see the real thing in the near future.
