If you’re one of our readers than you know that the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show was the starting place for many new models and concept cars. Well, the German car maker, Mercedes-Benz thought that rather than putting its new Concept A-Class in a motor show, they would better take it on a tour of the country, in order to give UK public an interactive view of this unique car.
The manufacturer announced that the Concept A-CLASS will be shown in an engaging display at shopping centres in four major cities across the UK. Interesting, isn’t it? Well, that’s not all because Mercedes wants more, so before each event there will be an unveiling ceremony, aiming to add some drama.
“At each location, the car is initially tantalisingly hidden from view in a mirrored box, which is surrounded by a forest of interactive LED lights that react to sound – they change colours and patterns in response to the voices or movement of passers-by. At regular intervals, a deep note will sound and the lights will pulsate around the box, accompanied by attention-grabbing music, that will build up to a full reveal of the car.”
If you’re from UK and you want to participate at one of these for events, here are the dates for Mercedes Concept A-Class UK Tour:
– Bullring Shopping Centre, Birmingham (Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September);
– Westfield London (Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October);
– Arndale Shopping Centre, Manchester (Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th October);
– Braehead Shopping Centre, Glasgow (Friday 14thand Saturday 15th October).
