2012 Aston Martin Vantage Facelift – To be revealed at Geneva 2012

No one has ever complained about an Aston Martin, and this applies to the Vantage, but still, the Aston decided to get it a facelift. This word might not be that appropriate for what actually the new model will be about, since the only aesthetical changes it gets are the new bumpers and wider tires. This new model will be presented at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

Under the hood, though, is where Aston put the extra work. The new engine still delivers 420 horsepower, which is almost as good as the V12 in the Vantage S that brings 430 ponies. The direction and braking systems previously only available in the S model will now be fitted to the Vantage Facelift. Aston promises a much better braking distance than before.

The transmission is a 6-speed manual. There is also an optional 7-speed automatic Sportshift 2 that helps take full advantage of the amazing power that the engine brings to the table. The new Vantage gets the Hill Start Assist, which helps the driver start the car when it’s parked on a hill.

The inside features the new Garmin navigation system, available as a standard, together with the Cruise Control and Bluetooth connectivity.

Aston Martin Vantage Facelift will have a base price of $143,000, almost 30 grand less than the Aston Martin Vantage S.
