2012 Audi TT-RS model for America

Back in September of 2010 Audi had announced its intentions of serving to the demand of the US customers for its cars with its immensely popular TT-RS model. At the Chicago Auto Show held recently they however made a slight turn around by adding that the supply of the TT-RS would be limited to only 100 units in the US market. By last known records there were a total of 11,500 units of the TT-RS on demand in the US. This supply ration therefore would be very low compared to the demand for the car. Price of the TT-RS would be $10,000 more than the TTS which costs $51,000. Sales are to begin by the end of summer 2011.

The engine that is installed on the TT-RS is a 2.5 liter five cylinder unit which delivers 360 HP, 20 HP more power than that developed in the European version of this car. For transmission the car would have a six speed manual transmission set up. Acceleration factor of the car is 4.6 seconds for the 0 to 60 mph sprint. It can be assumed that the top speed also would be higher than its European compatriot.
