The secret car by Brabus, teased a coupe of weeks ago, turns out to be the brand new 2012 Brabus Rocket 800. The new model has shown its face via a German website ahead the official worldwide debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, which opens its doors to the press on Tuesday.
As some of you migh know, the CLS Rocket is the powerful versions of the four-door coupe built by the German tuner as a showcase of their engineering excellence. The firs Rocket based on the first gen CLS had around 700 hp and top speed of over 360 km/h.
As for the 2012 model, no official details were released, but according to Motorvision.de the 2012 Brabus Rocket is powered by an engine that produces 800hp and a whopping 1,420Nm. However, the amount of torque has been limited to only 1,100Nm. The power is transferred to the wheels through a AMG Speedshift MCT seven-speed sports transmission. This offers an accleration from 0 to 100km/h in 3.7 seconds, 23.8 seconds to 300km/h and a top speed of 370km/h.
As you can see from the pictures, the exterior trim has been enhanced with a new front fascia with massive air intakes, air outlets for the front fenders, add-on parts for the rear fenders and rear fascia. In addition to that comes a rear diffuser and a rear wing. In order to complete the overall design, the tuner fitted the ultra-light Brabus Monoblock F Platinum Edition cross-spoke wheels on this car.
The interior will feature the usual accessories and refinements on offer by the German tuner.
Being the most powerful luxury sedan in the world, the 2012 Brabus Rocket 800 is priced at € 429,000 excluding taxes.
