Only $19,990 (including destination), only $595 more than a comparable 2010 model for a 2012 Mazda 5! The car received a complete makeover but the price didn’t get affected too much. At this price, customers get an entry-level sport model. The base model Mazda 5 has 2.5 l I-4 engine, ABS, stability and traction control, 16-inch aluminum wheels, a six-speaker audio system with an auxiliary input, three-row side curtain air bags, and cruise control.
The customer can also choose the six speed manual transmission, but olny with Sport trim.
A five speed automatic gearbox is also available but it will set you back $1100. The Mazda 5 Touring model has a starting price of just $21,990 and features a lot of good stuff: the five-speed automatic, 17-inch wheels, fog lamps, side sill extensions, rear spoiler, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity at no extra charge.
For $1140 more, you can get a power moonroof, an Audio package with a six-CD changer and a Sirius satellite radio. These features however, are standard on the Mazda 5 Grand Touring model, a model which has a price tag of $24,670. Also, this version has xenon HID headlamps, automatic headlamp control, heated door mirrors and front seats, leather seating trim, rain-sensing wipers, and leather-trimmed seating.
We are eagerly waiting for January 2011, when this car will hit the showrooms worldwide.
