2012 Porsche 911 Cabriolet – Photos and Info

The Porsche 911 Cabriolet, or the 991 convertible is the peak of Porsche’s 911 series development. It’s so advanced, that Porsche allocated a whole team of engineers to work for 7 years on finding ways to make a hardtop roof better, lighter and less expensive.

The 2012 911 is powered by a 3.4-liter Boxer Six engine that is good for 350 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a PDK Dual Clutch. Sprint to 60 is done in just 4.4 seconds, and the top speed of this car is an astonishing 177 mph. The drivetrain is a rear-wheel drive.

The exterior, as the one of most 911s, looks smashing. Curves are perfectly combined with aggressively-styled elements, to create a perfect harmony. The new 20-inch wheels look great on this car. Also, you can say a lot about a car by the number of the exhaust pipes, their size and location. The 911 gets 4, medium-sized, central-sideways positioned exhaust, so if we were to judge this car merely on this fact, it would get a top rating. The red ceramic brakes give the car a race-car look.

The interior gets seating for two.  There is a touchscreen and leather seats, but apart from these two elements, Porsche sticks with the classic interior design.

There isn’t any information available on the fuel consumption or CO2 emissions, but we’ll wait and see.
