Two days ago we showed you 2012 Ford Mustang “Stage 2” by Roush Performance. Now it’s time for “Stage 3” because it seems that almost instant, Roush Performance has received approvals from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to sell their Roushcharged 2012 Roush Stage 3 Mustangs in all fifty states. And this being said, it’s time to release the beast.
“This is certainly exciting news for Roush Performance, our Dealers and Mustang enthusiasts,” says Gary Jurick, VP/General Manager of Roush Performance. “Our engineering teams worked closely with various government agencies throughout the entire emissions testing process to receive final approvals. The 2012 RS3 offers Roushcharged performance, handling and styling while also complying with all of the federal emissions requirements. We’re now in the process of working with our Dealers in all 50 states on their RS3 vehicle ordering needs.”
Mustang’s fans will probably adore this new “Stage” and the 2012 Roush Stage 3 Mustang will continue to be a huge hit.
If you don’t know already, the 5.0L base engine is Roushcharged to 540HP and 465 ft/lbs of torque. Roush Performance brings a renowed suspension, which is capable of pulling over 1G of lateral force. Also the graphics and interior styling offers a variety of options and upgrades new to the 2012 platform. Roush Performance stands behind their RS3 performance vehicle with a 3yr/36,000 mile full powertrain warranty.
The new Roush Performance Stage 3 is distinguished by a new front fascia, a revised rear valance, and a trunk-mounted spoiler. Beside all these, other goodies include a sport-tuned suspension, a high-performance braking system, and 18-inch wheels with Cooper 2XS tires.
Price: a “typically equipped” RS3 Mustang will cost approximately $59,945
