2013 Ford Receives a new Face and More Power: Official Info and Photos

by Zack Colt

Even though the new Ford Flex does look, according to many opinions, like a Range Rover from the front, we also can agree on the fact that this is besides a new look, a very good one as well. Since it overlapsed so much with the Explorer, the Ford Flex was a very expected vehicle by not only the fans.
Its official debut will be made at the 2011 Los Angeles Motor Show, where its new chrome bits and more powerful V6 will surely shine.

As far as the enine is concerned, under the bonnet there can be found a fresh version of the 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s now fitted with twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT). The output of the unit is 285 hp, which is 23 more than the previous version. It’s also supposed to be 1 mpg more frugal, though we can’t imagine an advertising campaign about that.

As for the higher-output version, it comes in the form of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with a more respectable 355 hp, same as before.

Well, all of this has intrigued us a lot, reason for which we will keep an eye on it at its debut, in order to get more information about it.
