2013 Hyundai ix35 refresh unmasked

The first formal photo of the 2013 Hyundai ix35 refresh has been disclosed with a variety of technical enhancements.

With its display at Geneva about to happen, the ix35 mid-size SUV hasn’t undergone any major exterior styling changes with the exception of new Bi-Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights and a slightly redesigned upper grille. Inside, the cabin has received some material upgrades and additional detail enhancements to the trim.

The engines have also been changed starting with the Nu 2.0-liter GDI which is more power oriented coupled with fuel economy when compared to the Theta-II 2.0-liter engine it replaces. The R diesel engine receives clean technology such as LP-EGR.

Finally the new ix35 also gets the Hyundai’s three style FLEX STEER driving system where Normal, Comfort and Sport approach can be selected.
