Even though there is not much longer to wait before the SEMA show where the GS 350 F is planned to have its debut, the Japanese based automaker Lexus has decided to reveal the car, after a quiet unveiling in Johannesburg at the South African event.
The 2013 GS 350 F Sport is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine which is developing 306 horsepower and 375 Nm of torque (277 lb-ft). Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission,
the 2013 Lexus GS 350 F Sport can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 5.7 seconds while returning an average fuel consumption of 20 mpg in city and 27 mpg on highways having the rear-wheel drive system, while with AWD the vehicle does 18 mpg in city and 25 mpg on highways, according to the automaker.
“The all-new GS 350 with F Sport package will offer our customers more agility and a sportier appearance. The racing-inspired F Sport components were precision engineered for this vehicle, providing quality performance without compromise”, said the Lexus group vice president and general manager, Mark Templin.
The automaker also says that the GS 350 with the F Sport package will be equipped in standard with 10 airbags, including knee airbags for both passenger and driver, rear seat mounted side airbags and side curtain airbags, along with the new Whiplash Injury Lessening front seats which are designed to help limit excessive head movement.
also offered in standard is the Pre-Collision System which is using the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System, along with features like Heads Up Display, Night Vision System, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitor and Lane Departure Warning.
Unfortunately, not details about the starting price of the car were revealed yet, but we can expect the vehicle to appear in showrooms early next year.
