2013 Lotus Exige S Roadster – Photos and Info

The Geneva Motor Show is well and truly underway. While other car manufacturers release models everyone has been expecting for a long time, Lotus decided to keep us waiting on the convertible Evora, and give us the Exige S instead.

This car has been revealed in a Roadster form, and has been fitted with a lightweight convertible soft-top. The engine in the Exige S is a 3.5-liter V-6 rated at 345 horsepower, that allows an acceleration from 0 to 60 in about 3.8 seconds. The standard transmission for the Lotus Exige S is a six-speed manual, but the optional Serial Precision Shift (exclusive for Lotus vehicles) will also be available, and will come with steering wheel-mounted shift paddles.

Lotus’ new model will not be available in the U.S., although there are some rumors that state that a track-only model will go across the ocean. Lotus also revealed the F1 Team Evora GTE, a special edition of the Evora GTE.

Lotus held back from giving us more information on this car. Maybe they will do so a few days later. If not, we’ll probably have to wait until the next Motor Show to find out a release date and price.
