Porsche the Stuttgart-based automaker caught everyone’s attention at the Paris Motor Show with their Panamera Sport Turismo Concept. But with all that the story of there isn’t getting over because the they also have showcased the new 911 Carerra 4 and 4S and may showcase much more!
Porsche group introduced their latest Variant to the four-wheel-drive editions of the 911.
The coupe and cabriolet versions have a 345HP (350PS)-Carrera 4 and 394HP (400PS) Carrera 4S. With that the 911 editions gets a total of 4 varinats including the above mentioned.
The Visual difference between a Carerra 4 from its 911 counterparts lies in its rear wheel arches, which are now wider by 22 mm (0.87-inch) on each side, and the illuminated red horizontal strip between the taillights.
Though its larger than the present 997, it is upto 65 kg (143 pounds) lighter and as much as 16 percent more sober.
Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system guts out traction to the vehicle, with which it employs electronically variable multi-plate clutch that works with the Porsche Stability management (PSM) system to distribute torque between the two axles.
Few features may be either standard or optional for customers while purchasing a particular Porsche 911 variant, which would include: the 7-speed dual-clutch PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung -double clutch) gearbox, the PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake) ceramic discs, the PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) electronically controlled suspension, PTV (Porsche Torque Vectoring) in standard and “Plus” versions, the PDCC (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control) active anti-roll system and the Sport Chrono package with active engine mounts, to name but a few.
