The new generation 2013 Volvo XC70 range has added a high performance petrol engine and a new number of new and enhanced technology and safety systems, lets see what are the perks that the new 2013 Volvo XC70 offers us.
On top of the newly updated Volvo XC70 line up sits the 224kW/440Nm 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder T6 petrol engine, the new members are 179kW/320Nm 3.2-litre naturally aspirated six-cylinder petrol and the 158kW/440Nm 2.4-litre five-cylinder D5 diesel. The XC70 T6 engine, this engine is also found in the Volvo S60, V60 and XC60, which apparently uses 10.5 litres of fuel per 100km on the combined cycle, making it one tenth more fuel efficient than the larger and less powerful 3.2-litre engine.
The new Safety features are the new-generation City Safety collision avoidance system, an updated camera for the collision warning, auto brake and pedestrian detection system, an illuminated gearshift lever, revised rear badging and a grocery bag holder. There is a new system included in the optional Driver Alert System, and that is the new Road Sign Information system, which utilizes a camera to detect and display speed limits and other selected road sign information in the instrument panel. The package also includes active high beam headlights and adaptive cruise control, Automatic headlights and tunnel detection are combined with the optional Rain Sensor option, and much more.
