A brand new BMW M4 Coupe has been photographed recently by a reader of BimmerToday.de in a parking lot in Ingolstadt in Germany.
The vehicle had a Silverstone Metallic exterior paint scheme and most likely it was a test car taking into consideration the front wheels where different than the back ones.
Just to give a preview, the first ever M4 will share its engine with the new M3 as both will pack a newly developed inline-six 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo generating an output of 431 HP (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. Both the vehicles will be able to accelerate to 62 mph (100 kmph) in 4.1 seconds when equipped with the optional seven-speed M DCT gearbox. However if the versions are fitted with the standard six-speed manual transmission, they will be 0.2 seconds slower in the sprint.
Regardless of the selected gearbox, the 2014 M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe will come with an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (250 kmph) which can be increased to 174 mph (280 kmph) if the optional M Driver’s Package is acquired.
Both vehicles will be showcased at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS) in January.
