The picture of the face lifted version of the 2014 BMW M5 has appeared on the web a little early as one of the employees accidentally uploaded the car’s configurator ahead of the schedule.
The updated model has a new grille with larger vertical slats that echo those on the M6 and so is quite easily recognizable with no major changes other than the headlights that could get some minor tweaks.
Changes in the interiors are also expected to be limited but we can see a slimmer steering wheel and a new touch-sensitive iDrive controller.
The car would carry on the same engine as earlier M6 which is twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine with output of 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. However, there are certain reports that indicate that there could be an optional Competition Package that will boost the performance output to around 575 HP (423 kW). The option package is also expected to include other features such as a sportier suspension, a revised M Dynamic Mode and exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels.
The 2014 BMW M5 is slated to go on sale later in this year and the pricing for German markets will reportedly start at € 103,300.
