The 2014 BMW X5 has now entered into the production phase in the factory of Spartanburg in South Carolina.
The first model, called as X5 M50d, was created for a European dealer who will use it to generate excitement and sales for the redesigned crossover. In order to create maximum attention, it comes in a Mineral White exterior with a Nappa Mocha leather interior.
In fact the last second-generation X5 (E70) was produced on June 28th and it was a Titanium Silver Metallic X5 xDrive50i which came fitted with the M Sport package and sand beige perforated Nevada leather upholstery. This model will now become part of the company’s historic car collection and is most likely to be displayed at the BMW museum in Munich.
The 2014 X5 will be available with three different engines which are:
• A twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine outputting 450 HP (330 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque
• A 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder diesel that generates 258 HP (190 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque
• A tri-turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine with 381 HP (280 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque
As reported previously, the model is expected to go on sale this fall.
