2014 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible reveals in Frankfurt

Chevrolet has tried to give a new look to the 2014 Camaro Convertible by removing its roof and has showcased the new version at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show.

Extensively updated, the facelifted model now comes with a new front fascia with a revised grille and restyled headlights. The muscle car also comes equipped with a ventilated hood, a decklid spoiler, a rear diffuser and slender taillights. In the interiors also, the cabin has received some minor upgrades that include a new steering wheel, revised instrumentation and a new MyLink infotainment system with a seven-inch display.

In Europe, the model will come fitted with two 6.2-liter V8 engines. Manual models use the LS3 V8 that would generate 432 HP (318 kW) and 569 Nm (419 lb-ft) of torque, while automatic versions come with a L99 V8 engine that can pump out 405 HP (298 kW) and 556 Nm (410 lb-ft) of torque. The engines enable the model to achieve the 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in 5.4 seconds with the six-speed manual gearbox and 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in 5.6 seconds when connected to the six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2014 Camaro Convertible will be up for sale in Europe later this year and the pricing starts off from €44,990.
