As per a report from media in Germany, the next generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be revealed in full on December 16 when it is programmed to go on order.

A German blog that is specialized in providing Mercedes-Benz-related content said that the new C-Class will be revealed online in two weeks, ahead of a public launch scheduled to take place at NAIAS in Detroit in January. The 2014 C-Class will allegedly be offered upon launch in a C220 BlueTEC diesel version outputting 170 hp (127 kW). There will also be a gasoline engine rated at 156 hp (116 kW) in the C180 and 184 hp (137 kW) in the C200.

It will be sold with quite a few exterior paint schemes, including (but not limited to) diamond silver, brilliant blue, palladium silver, iridium silver and polar white. The same source also indicates that Mercedes-Benz plans on replacing the Elegance trim with Line Exclusive, while in terms of technology it will adopt some of the systems available in the S-Class flagship.

Other highlights of the model include an Airmatic suspension, keyless go system and an adjustable radiator shutter called Airpanel which will be available for the Line Exclusive version.
