2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Pullman spied for the first time

by SpeedLux

For the very first time the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Pullman has been spied.

The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class model was launched just a couple of months ago and can be had with either a 5116mm or a 5246mm length. These two S-Class models will be joined next year by an even longer variant that would replace Maybach which will have an overall length between 152-304mm longer than the standard model.

As can be seen in these spy images, a lot of the added length will be in the wheelbase, and also the prototype has considerably longer rear doors and C-pillars. The standard model has a wheelbase of 3035mm while the LWB gets its wheelbase extended to 3165mm. In fact some of the previous reports have even indicated that the model will be even longer, with an overall length of almost six meters and a wheelbase of up to 3515mm.

Under the hood, power will be supposedly provided by a twin-turbo V12 engine generating around 600 hp (447 kW), while a hybrid variant is likely to follow a few months after the gasoline-powered model comes out.

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Pullman is expected to arrive in May next year based on a recent report.
