Mercedes-Benz S-Class XL spied, could receive the S600 Maybach nameplate

by SpeedLux

The extra-long wheelbase Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been caught on camera recently in Stuttgart, ahead of the launch scheduled to take place this year.

As per the earlier reports, the model will be stretched by 200mm compared to the current long wheelbase S-Class which has a 5246mm length so the new model will be almost 5.5 meters long. It will continue to come with the 2+2 seating layout and will also feature the third side window positioned after the rear door.

A report from Auto Motor und Sport is reporting that the vehicle will adopt the S600 Maybach nameplate while the power would be derived from a V12 5.5-liter engine with an output of 585 HP (430 kW). The same source also states that Mercedes-Benz plans to showcase the car at the Guangzhou Motor Show that will be held in November in China.

The Maybach version will soon be followed by an even longer Pullman variant which is said to be almost six meters long. Well with the increase in the length of these vehicles, even the expectations are increasing and hope the cars live upto the expectations of car lovers.
