The all new 2014 Porsche Cayman was launched at the Los Angeles Auto Show, last week.
The new, third generation Cayman has been re-designed, right from the ground up, as a result the new variant is lower and longer, lighter and faster, also more efficient and powerful. The coupe will be offering two trims: Cayman and Cayman S.
Under the hood, of the Cayman, lies the 2.7-liter engine with 275 hp, with Sport Chrono package it accelerates from a standstill to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds, and for the Cayman S, it is powered by 3.4-liter engine, delivering 325 hp, and with PDK and the Sport Chrono package it sprints from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Both the motors come with direct injection, six speed gearbox, start-stop system and brake energy regeneration as standard. An option of a 7 speed PDK transmission is also being offered.
The new Cayman will arrive dealerships in Spring 2013 starting at $52,600 for the Cayman and $63,800 for the Cayman S, exclusive a destination charge of $950.
