Automobili Turismo Sport (ATS) has unveiled an updated version of the Sport 1000 track only car originally launched to the market in 2012.
The updated ATS Sport ditches the “1000” designation and comes with more than 100 upgrades.
The most notable is a new stainless steel chassis with FIA-compliant rollbar that can be made from Cromo Molibdenum steel which makes the car 45 kg (99 lbs) lighter.
The body looks about the same, but is actually more aerodynamic and the Quaife limited-slip differential is standard, along with Avon tires, Tillett seats and a fully adjustable pedal box with CNC-machined pedals.
Other goodies part of the update include Ohlins dampers, full stainless steel exhaust system, Tarox six-piston front and rear calipers with vented discs and 15-inch split rim alloys.
Typical to race cars it has a Sparco removable steering wheel and harnesses.
The updated ATS Sport is now available to order with prices starting from the rolling chassis without the engine from 33,000 EUR and at 48,850 EUR for a drivable track ready beast.
The entry level engine is a 1.3-liter with 185 hp at 11,000 rpm connected to a 6-speed sequential gearbox, followed by a 1.4-liter with 325 hp and finally a 1.6-liter with 255 hp.
With the top engine, 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) comes in just 2.5 seconds and the top speed is more than 155 mph (250 km/h).
For more green in your pocket you can opt for a full carbon fiber body, FIA fuel tank, xenon headlights, AIM data logging kit, paddle shift kit, center lock forged wheels, larger brakes and TTX Ohlins dampers.
