The 2015 BMW X6 M has been recently caught on camera while undergoing cold weather testing.
Covered in swirly camouflage, the model could be instantly recognised as it closely echoes its predecessor. As a result, the crossover has been equipped with features such as an aggressive front bumper, an M-specific grille and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. Other highlights of the model include a tailgate-mounted spoiler, massive alloy wheels and high-performance brakes.
However the images captured by the spy photographers do not give much idea about the cabin as they could not manage to snap the photos of the interiors. But we do know that the model will likely share a number of components with the X5 which means we can expect higher quality materials and possibly a freestanding iDrive display.
Under the hood, motivation will likely be provided by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that will be able to generate an output of more than 555 HP (408 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. This could enable the model to achieve the 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) run in less than 4.7 seconds, before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph (155 mph).
