2015 Ford Mustang has a good start in Europe – 500 orders in just 30 seconds

by Max Richardson

New 2015 Ford Mustang is the first Mustang ever to be offered officially in Europe.

Europeans had the first opportunity to reserve the new pony car last week during the UEFA champions league final between Real Madrid CF and Club Atlético de Madrid.

Impressively over 9,300 Europeans registered for a chance to buy one of 500 new Ford Mustangs.

The first 500 registrations came just 30 seconds into the match between Real Madrid CF and Club Atlético de Madrid. Not a bad start at all.

There is still some anxiety left as none of the 9,300+ people know if they were successful or not. Successful customers will be notified in the next few weeks.

The 500 new Mustangs were allocated across 20 countries, meaning everyone in Europe had a chance, depending little big from where they were doing the registration.

Successful customers will be invited to complete their order at a dealership later this year.

New Mustang is is available in Europe with an all-new 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine delivering over 309 hp and 407 Nm of torque; or the 5.0-liter V8 engine with more than 426 hp and 529 Nm of torque.

Final pricing details will be revealed closer to market launch.
