The 2015 Honda CR-V Euro-Spec facelift first bowed to the public during the last Paris Motor Show. Now, the Japanese automaker, Honda, has officially confirmed that the company will start selling this particular vehicle model come spring next year. According to the company, the crossover in question is going to feature significant changes, inside and out. Yet, that has yet to be proven.
As Honda puts it, the CR-V we are talking about here has received bold restyling. Yet, for some people, especially fans of cars, out there, they will know in an instant that the upcoming 2015 model year CR-V Euro-Spec facelift is only coming with some cosmetic tweaks that are rather moderate, actually. As a matter of fact, it seems that most of the elements of the car are just carried over from the American version of this particular vehicle model. But then again, perhaps what Honda means is the differences between the 2015 model and its predecessor.
Stepping into the cabin of the car, buyers can now find the Honda Connect infotainment system. This particular feature will be available across all trims of the model. It will sport a 7-inch display with touchscreen capability as well. And, if that is not enough, buyers of the upcoming Honda CR-V facelift will also get to enjoy a rearview parking camera, MirrorLink technology, Bluetooth connection and even as many as 9 app preinstalled by Honda.
One of the biggest changes, however, is what the vehicle is going to have under its hood. As for the 2015 Honda CR-V Euro-Spec facelift, it will boast a 1.6L i-DTEC engine. Mated to an all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain and either a 9-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission, the engine has what it takes to produce a power output as high as 160 hp and a peak torque at the level of 350 Nm.
However, for an alternative, customers can also choose a 2-wheel-drive (2WD) variant of this new vehicle from Honda. In this case, there are two engine options available. First, there is the 1.6L i-DTEC engine with 120 hp and second, there is the 2.0L i-DTEC engine with 155 hp.
According to the Japanese automaker, the 2015 Honda CR-V Euro-Spec facelift will be available for order starting from spring 2015.
