Next up in Bugatti Veyron’s line of succession is the Bugatti Chiron. A name that has not been confirmed yet by the company but has only been teased. The Bugatti Chiron has been spied once again wearing even lesser camo than the last time we saw it. The image, which has been posted by Autogespot on Facebook, shows two test mules.
The image gives us a view of how the back of the Bugatti Chiron is supposed to look. These pictures appear to have been taken somewhere near the mountains of Europe.
So what can we make out from these spy shots and the others that have been released so far of the much-awaited Bugatti Chiron? In this one we can see the four exhaust pipes which have been centrally mounted, new taillights that appear to be connected via an LED strip (Vision GT much?) as well as the mid-engine layout.
The Bugatti Chiron is expected to be priced at about USD $2.2 Million and will only have 500 units produced. There are reportedly over 120 buyers who have already shown interest in acquiring this vehicle. Although by popular public opinion, the design appears to lack the class and finesse that Bugatti has known for, with several users even terming the car unaesthetic on the basis of these leaked photos.
We’ll reserve our judgment until the final reveal as the design might still see some tweaks and tune-ups before the car gets officially released some time in early 2016.
The power that Bugatti Chiron will be capable of is reportedly 1500 PS (1103 kW) producing 1500 nM (1107 lb-ft) of torque, thanks to an upgraded W16 engine which was previously used on the Veyron. The Bugatti Chiron’s Top Speed might actually exceed previous expectations, allowing it to reach 430-450 kmph as well as a dizzylingly quick 0-100 in 2.3 seconds.
So that’s all we have on the Bugatti Chiron for now. Please comment what you think of the design and check out all the Spy Shots we have of them so far in the gallery below.
